A team of mostly Long Beach baseball players won the gold medal at the Maccabi Games last week, a sports tournament designed specifically for Jewish youth. Wilson assistant Marc Prager was the head coach, with Jordan alum Phillip Berman assisting. The players included AJ Castano, Davis Ramage, and Jacob Ribitzki from Wilson, Jacob Kraus and Liam Alpern from Poly, Tyler Bermundo from Millikan, and Evan Leibl from Los Al. Bermundo was the starting pitcher in the gold medal game.
