Long Beach Poly alum and 16-year MLB player Chase Utley is set to announce his retirement in a press conference at Dodgers Stadium at 3:15 p.m. according to multiple media reports. Utley is expected to announce that his retirement will come at the end of the season (he is under contract through 2019).
Utley is a six-time All-Star who won a World Series with the Phillies in 2008 and is considered a ‘bubble’ Hall of Famer.
