The Wilson boys’ golf team fell one stroke short of winning a third consecutive CIF-SS Southern Division Team Championship on Monday. The Bruins finished second with a 359 team total, just behind Anaheim Discovery Christian’s 358 title-winning score at Mile Square Golf Course.
Wilson senior Tyler Schafer shot a 4-under par round of 68 to finish second individually. Brandon Bennett shot 70, and Tyler Allen shot 71 for the Bruins.
Millikan (425) finished 16th and LB Poly (431) finished 19th.
Schafer will compete in the CIF individual championship on May 17.
