The Long Beach State Dirtbags scored six runs in the last two innings of their 8-5 comeback victory over USC (18-19) on Tuesday at Dedeaux Field. It is the third consecutive midweek win for LBSU (17-24).
LBSU freshman Leonard Jones had three hits and a walk. His RBI double in the ninth inning scored Jarren Duran to put the Dirtbags on top for good, and kicked off a four-run rally.
The Dirtbags return to Bohl Diamond at Blair Field for a Big West series against UC Davis this weekend.
